A native of Northeast Ohio, Dr. Buzzard grew up in Westlake and has lived on both the west and east sides of Cleveland. He attended college at Ohio University where he studied biology with a minor in chemistry and graduated magna cum laude. Dr. Buzzard attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University, where he was recognized for research and volunteer efforts, including leadership of the Ophthalmology Interest Group.
Dr. Buzzard channeled his passion to improve the care of patients through research on diabetes, specialized eye imaging, and glaucoma. He graduated with honors and completed his internship at University Hospitals. His training took him and his family to Baltimore, where he completed residency training in Ophthalmology at the University of Maryland.
Dr. Buzzard will be joining The Eye Centers after returning to Cleveland this coming fall, and is honored to provide eye care for the greater Cleveland community. His practice focuses primarily on comprehensive adult eye care, with focus on cataract surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, as well as non-surgical management of glaucoma. He performs general eye exams including screening and management of diabetic eye disease and macular degeneration. Dr. Buzzard would be pleased to schedule a routine eye exam or consultation with you.
