Can I have both eyes treated at the same time?
LASIK patients can have both eyes treated the same day. PRK, ICL, and CrystaLens patients, generally, are treated one eye at a time.
Will my vision continue to get worse after LASIK surgery?
No. The laser procedures permanently change the shape of the cornea. You could have good vision for decades.
When can I return to work?
Most patients can return to work the day after the procedure.
How many times do I have to be seen after laser surgery?
Many patients are seen at 1 day, 2 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year. Some procedures require more frequent visits, and you may be seen by a doctor other than your surgeon to accommodate your schedule.
Can I fly after having laser vision correction?
Yes.
Are there any activity limitations after surgery?
Answer: There is no swimming, hot tubs, or saunas allowed for 2 weeks after the procedure. Some procedures do have further post operative restrictions.
Does the procedure hurt?
LASIK is a virtually painless procedure, and while other refractive surgeries have varying healing times, discomfort is minimal.
How long does the procedure take?
Answer: Usually 10 minutes per eye.
