Theodore E. Loizos M.D.

A native Clevelander, Dr. Loizos was born and raised in Old Brooklyn and graduated from St. Ignatius High School. He attended college at Cornell University where he studied Classical Civilizations and Literature.

He graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies. During his internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital, he received the Transitional Year Resident of the Year Award. Dr. Loizos then returned to The Ohio State University for his residency in Ophthalmology, where he conducted research on diabetes and early detection of diabetic retinopathy.

Dr. Loizos has been a part of The Eye Centers since 2009. He is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and treats all eye conditions including cataracts, specializing in small-incision and laser-assisted cataract surgery; diabetes, macular degeneration and glaucoma, including laser treatments and micro-invasive glaucoma surgery. He also performs general and pediatric eye exams.

As a current resident of Rocky River, Dr. Loizos continues to be involved in our community along with his wife and four children. They are active members of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Dr. Loizos feels honored to bring his passion for ophthalmology and his surgical talents to serve our community.
